QA/QC INSPECTOR

The Role
The Quality Control Inspector is primarily responsible for inspecting and testing a variety of materials, including mechanical and electrical components, subassemblies, and subsystems to make sure they meet required levels of quality. The responsibility includes tasks for equipment maintenance, preparation of test data, and to help identify areas for quality improvement. To be successful in this role, the candidate should have reliable hands-on skills needed to work with delicate components and test equipment, have a high attention to detail, and ability to read schematics and record technical data.
Responsibilities
Carefully follow procedures, read schematics, and setup equipment to perform tests
Create and maintain inspection reports
Inspect parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials and examine all items for defects
Ensure test equipment is calibrated and working correctly
Report quality anomalies to the supervisor
Collate testing data and draft quality reports
Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes
Ensure production is not hindered by quality testing procedures
All other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Experience as an inspector of materials, or relevant technical experience working with mechanical and electrical components where quality is a concern
Strong understanding of mathematical concepts, such as geometrical tolerancing
High-level of visual awareness
Advanced organizational skills
Experience in technical writing and collecting data
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to analyze and interpret technical information
Excellent attention to detail
